The National Auctioneers Association (NAA) is a dynamic, harmonious, pro-active trade association for professional auctioneers across America and Canada. The NAA provides progressive leadership and education for the membership, industry, and consumer. The goals and objectives are: to provide educational advancement for its members, to educate consumers and governmental agencies on the benefits of the auction method of marketing, promote professionalism and ethical behavior among auctioneers,
to promote programs that increase membership participation and growth, to influence legislation, and to compile and disseminate industry data.

The Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA) is a statewide organization of individuals and companies who are involved in the Auction Industry. TAA was organized in 1956 to support, maintain and improve the auction profession, advance public knowledge of the auction profession, promote high standards of ethical conduct in the auction profession, provide for civic and community service, and foster development of friendships and networking opportunities.

(AMI) is an education association offering three designations for auction professionals--Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE), and Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA). AMI is the educational arm of the National Auctioneers Association.

The CAI designation, Certified Auctioneers Institute, is the highest designation awarded in the auction industry. It is a three-part executive development program designed for decision-makers in auction firms and is held each spring at Indiana University in Bloomington. Course content includes such topics as marketing your auction firm for increased profits, understanding accounting, legal and financial principles that auctioneers need
to succeed, developing communications skills, and learning the most effective methods of selling real estate and personal property at auction.
