Spanky Assiter, MBA, IAC, CAI, AARE Chairman & Founder spanky@assiter.com His love and passion for the business has resulted in his becoming one of the most dynamic and sought after auctioneers in the world. He has conducted auctions across the United States, England, Canada, South America, Puerto Rico and South Africa. In the summer of 2007, Spanky’s global impact on the auction industry was recognized when he became one of the youngest inductees into the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame and the Texas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame. In 1991, he was awarded International Champion Auctioneer at the National Auctioneers Association Convention. He was named Texas State Champion Auctioneer the same year. Recognized again in 1994, when he was elected to the National Auctioneers Association's Board of Directors, Spanky has served on many committees within the organization, and has served as past president and in every office except secretary/treasurer for the Texas Auctioneers Association. From 1992 to 2015, he held court at the Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction, billed as the greatest collector car auction in the world, with extensive televised coverage on Speed TV. He has also conducted auctions for the sale of factory automobile inventories including Honda, Jaguar, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Chrysler, Ford and GM, and in 2005 he was titled World Champion Auto Auctioneer. He also was a key auctioneer for the Keeneland Thoroughbred Racing Association where helped sell billions of dollars of horses. He has also conducted auctions at Red Baron's Architectural Antiques in Atlanta, Georgia, which sells millions of dollars worth of antiques quarterly. He has worked with Superior-Livestock Auction Company, selling commercial cattle, as well as purebred cattle and Arabian horses. His inspirational story, celebrity status and motivational style of speaking have made him a much-desired speaker and lecturer. Spanky has conducted seminars on the auction method of marketing at conventions around the globe, and is a highly sought after instructor at the World Wide College of Auctioneering. He has been a guest instructor at the World Champion College of Auctioneering, Texas Auction Academy, and the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. Spanky earned his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Speech-Mass Communications from West Texas A & M University. He received his Certified Auctioneer (CAI) designation from Indiana University, as well as a degree from World Wide College of Auctioneering, and has the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) designation. Amy Assiter, CAI, IAC President & Co-Owner amy@assiter.com Amy is a mother and wife, with a highly successful professional career, which inspires other women to look towards their goals, and pursue a dream. This recognized “force of nature” has succeeded in taking the auction industry by storm. In her career, Amy has amassed recognition and received acclaim in a much shorter period of time than many of her peers. She has an unofficial fan club made up of auto and auction enthusiasts from around the world. In February of 1999, she won the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association (OSAA) Rookie Champion, and in February of 2000, won the Oklahoma State Reserve Champion. She was the first female in the history of the association to achieve either of these levels. In 2000 she rang in the new Millennium by winning the industry's most coveted title, International Auctioneer Champion, (IAC) Women's Division­­—in her first attempt at the title. During her reign, as the IAC, she served as the Goodwill Ambassador for the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). This responsibility included raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through benefit auctions, conducting educational and motivational seminars and workshops nationwide, and working with the media on behalf of the auction industry. In 2003, Amy took her place as an auctioneer and bidder assistant at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, billed as the greatest collector car auction in the world, with extensive televised coverage on Speed TV Cable Channel, allowing her to exhibit her talents on national TV. She is a preferred instructor at the Worldwide College of Auctioneering and has a passion for being a private coach and mentor to up and coming auctioneers. She has earned the respect of her peers as one of the best female auctioneers in the world.. Amy is a much sought after auctioneer conducting auctions for everything from autos and heavy equipment, to bison and real estate. With her infectious smile and enthusiasm, she is a popular choice to run a number of important celebrity Gala benefit auctions. Her celebrity status, passion for veterans and patriotism, and inspiring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner has her traveling almost as much as her auctioneering talents. Amy makes appearances at car shows across the nation, signing autographs and showcasing her singing talents. Amy is highly active in the NAA, TAA, and the OSAA. She has served on many committees including the St. Jude Fundraising Committee, the NAA Children’s Auction Committee, the International Auctioneer Champion Competition Committee, and the Membership Committee, the International Ringman Championship Committee, and is also a member of Toastmasters, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Before becoming an auctioneer, Amy studied Economics at Oklahoma State University and worked as a commodity broker at KIS Commodities in Oklahoma City. We are the selling experts  Buy the items you like at your price.   Buying at an auction can be an exciting time and we want you to have the best experience possible. With the resources listed below we hope to answer any questions you may have. Tips for successful buying Let the Terms guide you Before you place your first bid, we ask you to review the Terms and Conditions and any special details about the auction in which you are interested in bidding. If you have specific questions you should contact the listed auction agents posted in the auction listing. Inspect & ask questions On most auction events, we offer an inspection time before the auction. The inspection time is typically a day before auction day for personal property and equipment auctions. We provide open house dates for Real Estate auctions. This is your opportunity to ask questions and be fully informed before placing bids. Auction Lots The auction will sell in numerical order corresponding with lot numbers attached to each item. The auctioneer will sell approximately sixty items per hour. During our live auction events, a printed sale day buyers guide will be given to you upon registration. Descriptions can be found for the items in the printed buyers guide as well as on our website for online buyers. Auction Registration Onsite Bidder Registration Registering to bid in person at a live auction event is as simple as coming inside to the registration counter located on the backside of our office or coming to the registration trailer at an onsite auction. You will need identification and be asked to sign agreeing to the terms of the auction. Once completed you receive your bidder number and sale day catalog. Online Bidder Registration Click here for a short how-to video I'm ready to bid Our auctions fall under one of 3 styles of auctions. Live Auction with Online Bidding: You can choose to bid in person at the auction site or online from your phone or computer. Timed Online Auction: All bidding will take place online and bids can be placed from your computer or phone. An end time will be set and each item will count down until the item sells to the highest bidder. When a bid is placed in the last minute the bidding time will extend, allowing other bidders an opportunity to place another bid. Live Online Webcast Auction: This auction will have a live online closing with the auctioneer selling on camera. All bidding will take place online. Bids can be placed on items during pre-bidding before the auction is live and/or you can bid live during the webcast. Payment Online bidders will receive an invoice at the conclusion of the auction. Onsite bidders will simply checkout at the registration/checkout counter. Payment in US funds must be made in full by the buyer, immediately upon the completion of the auction. You will receive a paid invoice upon payment, and this will be needed for pickup and removal. See auction terms for complete payment details. Buyers are responsible for the removal of their purchases within the allotted removal timeframe including shipping and packaging.
