Tim Bandy Assiter, Auctioneer

Bandy accumulated multiple awards along the auctioneer road. He began in 2005, as Reserve Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA) State Champion Ringman (Bidder Assistant), and finished in the top 10 of the TAA State Champion Auctioneer competition. In 2006, he was crowned with two titles: the World Champion Automobile Ringman, and the TAA State Champion Ringman. In 2007, he finished in the top 5 of the International Ringman Competition offered by the National Auctioneers Association. Picking up on the natural charisma of the young man, auctioneers began requesting Bandy to be a bidder assistant as they auctioned in the team competitions. This turned out to be a wise choice. In 2008, Bandy won the titles of World Champion Automobile Team as Ringman with Auctioneer Casey Enlow, and Reserve World Champion Automobile team as Ringman with Auctioneer Sherri Boots Sutton in both 2007 and 2008.

Taking his award winning abilities into the auction industry, Bandy has achieved the coveted position of a bidder assistant at the Barrett Jackson Collector Car Auction, billed as one of the greatest collector car auctions in the world, with extensive televised coverage on Speed TV. Bandy works at 7 automobile auction sales per week splitting between duties as auctioneer and duties as bidder assistant. These auctions are both regular auto auctions and high-line auctions, and include the Dallas Auto Auction, DFW Auto Auction, America’s Auto Auction, and the Lewisville Auto Auction.

Bandy began his career as an auction bidder assistant (ringman) as a young boy, when he would stand at his father’s side and take bids. He soon became a regular at charity auctions, winning the hearts of all in attendance. He continues expressing compassion and good will at charity auctions today. Charities including the Dallas Cattle Baron’s Ball, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Chamber of Commerce Auctions, auctions for private schools in the Dallas area, and many others benefit from his experience.

Through the years, Bandy thought of himself as too shy to be an auctioneer, but encouraged by his elders, he graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2002, before finishing a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from TexasTech University in 2003.

No longer shy, Bandy offers the final touch to the family oriented Assiter Auctioneer Team.
