Who Should Consign Heavy Equipment with Assiter Auctioneers
Twice a year, our Canyon, Texas facility fills up with contractor equipment, trucks, trailers, ag machinery and shop tools headed to auction. If you have equipment sitting idle, our upcoming Summer Heavy Equipment, Trucks, Vehicles & Tools auction on August 21 and 22, 2026 is now accepting consignments — and it is worth understanding who benefits most from consigning with us.
Contractors Upgrading or Downsizing a Fleet
Construction and ag contractors who are rotating equipment out of service get two things from an Assiter auction: a hard sale date and a wide, motivated buyer pool. Instead of listing a dozer or a skid steer online and waiting months for the right buyer, consignors get exposure to bidders bidding live on-site and online on the same day.
Dealers, Utilities, and Municipalities Clearing Surplus
We regularly handle surplus disposition for equipment dealers, utility companies, and municipalities that need to convert idle assets into cash on a defined timeline. Our online-only auctions are especially well suited to support equipment, shop tools, implements, and attachments that do not need an on-site crowd to find the right buyer.
What We Accept
Our August sale spans two days for a reason:
- Friday, August 21 (live on-site & online): heavy and contractor equipment, vehicles, trucks, recreational vehicles, ag machinery, and trailers
- Saturday, August 22 (online only): support equipment, shop equipment, implements, attachments, and personal property
