From Motorcycles to Aircraft: Two Recent Auction Wins

Assiter Auctioneers doesn't just sell one type of asset — and two of our most recent sales prove it. In June, we ran a 80-lot collector motorcycle auction in Rockmart, Georgia. In July, we sold a single 1996 Malibu Mirage PA-46 aircraft to one serious buyer. Different categories, different bidder pools, same result: strong prices driven by real demand.

Collector's Dream Motorcycle Auction — Rockmart, Georgia

Our Sunday, June 28th motorcycle auction in Rockmart brought out serious collectors from across the country. The numbers tell the story:

  • 80 lots offered, 76 sold — a 95% sell-through rate
  • $441,300 in total bids across the sale
  • 3,716 total bids placed by 220 active bidders, with 40 taking home winning lots
  • 259 registered bidders and nearly 144,000 individual lot views

That kind of bid activity — an average of nearly 49 bids per lot — is what happens when a collection is marketed to the right audience and given enough exposure before sale day.

1996 Malibu Mirage PA-46 Aircraft — A Single-Lot Sale Done Right

Not every auction needs hundreds of lots to be a success. In July, we sold a single 1996 Malibu Mirage PA-46 aircraft, with an in-person preview at Signature Aviation ahead of the online sale.

  • Final sale price: $436,000
  • 39 bids from 15 bidders
  • 41 registered bidders and over 11,900 lot views for one aircraft

High-value single-asset sales like this one depend on getting serious buyers in front of the listing — not just a large audience, but the right one.

What These Sales Have in Common

A motorcycle collection and a single aircraft don't have much in common on paper. But both sales worked for the same reasons: real marketing reach, a bidding platform buyers trust, and an auction team that knows how to present an asset so it sells for what it's actually worth. Whether you're consigning one high-value item or an entire collection, the process is built around getting you the strongest possible result.
