Real Estate Auctions: Commercial Properties and Homes

Right now at our Canyon, Texas auction house, the real estate calendar includes two commercial lots with I-27 frontage going to bid on August 18, a home in a gated community selling August 27, and an office-and-warehouse combination plus a 5.57-acre commercial tract both closing September 1. These are live auctions on our books today, and they show why more commercial owners and homeowners are choosing to sell at auction instead of sitting on the traditional market.

Commercial Property: A Faster Path to a Closed Deal

Office buildings, warehouses, vacant land, and multi-family sites can sit on the market for months while buyers negotiate financing and due diligence on their own timeline. An auction flips that: we set the sale date, market the property hard in the weeks leading up to it, and bring qualified, competing buyers to one event. Our current commercial lineup — frontage lots on I-27, a ±7,700 square foot office/warehouse combination, and a ±5.57 acre parcel suited for commercial or multi-family use — is a good example of the range of commercial assets we take to auction.

Selling a Home Without the Showings

For homeowners, the appeal is just as direct. You are not staging your house for a string of showings or waiting on a buyer’s financing to fall into place. The home sells as-is, on a date you help set, to a buyer who has already decided they want it. Our gated-community listing going to auction on August 27 is a current example of that process in motion.

How We Bring Buyers to the Table

Every real estate auction gets a marketing push built around the property, which can include:

  • Targeted social media and search advertising
  • Direct mail to likely buyers
  • Email outreach to our bidder database
  • Print, radio, or TV placements when appropriate
  • On-site signage and web listing exposure
